Western media has been a major player in misinformation, disinformation, manipulating, picking and choosing and muting the voices of the Palestinians. All of which have prolonged a genocide we are witnessing in real time.

This work is part of a series of ink prints for Gaza. Ink is used as a metaphor to the journalist - the writer and the reporter. The daily reporting by western media on Gaza has been minimal, portraying Palestinians as barbaric, unworthy if not responsible for their own killing. The ink spread in the background with a roller to symbolize Israel’s “mowing the lawn” strategy. A tactic to carpet-bomb entire neighbourhoods, wiping out whole families at once. The word “Gaza” is written in bold with the same technique, as in the more you steamroll the Palestinians, the bolder they become.
